When I first started in photography I would arrange a shoot, usually by asking a friend to model for me, and go into it with with little preparation.
These days when I want to shoot a personal project, I will spend hours looking and stimulus images, creating moodboards, experimenting with lighting, and in rare situations I will attempt to draw the look I want to create. This isn’t to say I only want one look, but at the end of the shoot when I’m culling and deleting I want to get to a shot that is perfectly composed and truly encompasses the theme of the shoot.
That was no different with I shot with Corinna @ HMG Models and makeup artist, Raj.
The theme was colour pop, but I really wanted to create a striking beauty shot, which I definitely achieved – if I do say so myself!
This shoot was fairly last minute and the gorgeous Corinna looked at the moodboard and really got it.
From the concept to reality.
And of course an outtake… 😉
Now it’s time to plan the next concept…
